Bottle from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - amber with a neat lacy head. Nose - caramel, going into honeycomb. The fruit is closest to melon. Light custard note. Taste - caramel, biscuit. Melon again, closed out with a zing of lime. Palate - crunchy texture, medium bodied. Crunchy dry-ish finish. Overall - looking for a bit more of the tropical fruit in this style, but it does warn us, that it's dank.
