Bottle at home, 26/12/18. Pitch black with a decent dirty tan cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is roast malts, dried fruits, brown sugar, chocolate, mellow scotch, toffee, light spice. Taste comprises rich fruit cake, dark chocolate, light smoke, ashen tones, oak, raisens, scotch notes, tangy fruits. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, drying close with light warming alcohol. Decent well balanced impy.

Peaty and a little iodine but in a brilliantly clever and balanced way which makes the base beer sing. Loads of crema and molases and toffee. A superb beer.
