Big Red Sur is a Red IPA that's inspired by sitting around campfires in the Red Woods of Northern California. We've used Red X Malt to give the beer a beautiful crimson colour and toasty malt character that complements the powerful Columbus and Simcoe hops.

Keg @ Pilcrow, Manchester. Amber-red with a small head. It's strong tasting with a light berry-fruitiness that lingers.

Can split at MS HW, 22/12/17. Rich amber pour with a well presented beige cap. Nose is pine needle, biscuit malts, caramel, blood orange, grassy hop load. Taste comprises caramel malts, biscuit crumbs, pine needle, grapefruit, orange pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close loaded with grassy hop bitterness. Solid exponent of the 'red' IPA genre.

Keg at Old Fountain. It pours hazy reddish amber with a small beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, red berry, jammy, victoria sponge, candy cane and tang. The taste is dry, dry, moderately tart, tangy, bready, Victoria sponge, spice and boozy and alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not bad.
