Bottle at home, from Waitrose online, 11/01/21. Clear golden to light amber with a well presented white cap ... a decent looking affair. Nose is gentle citric peel, grass, toasted grains, tangerine, lemon zest. Taste comprises light melon, tangerine, faint aspartamic notes, grass, light breads. Light to medium body, fine carbonation, semi drying close tinged with pseudo hop bitter notes. Not bad at all ... would certainly revisit this juan !

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 12C - low alcohol). Bottle 50 cl (Batch: A0168 09:51 - BBF: JUN 2021). AROMA: medium hop aroma with an herbaceous, pine and slightly oxidation (dried grass). low background with a slightly sweet component but devoid of malt character. APPEARANCE: light amber color and clear. medium-low ivory head, with average retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium hop notes (dried grass and slight citrus). background of faint unfermented extract with a slight sweet character and lacking the malt notes. medium bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. MOUTHFELL: low body with low carbonation. OVERALL: not that bad but still not a good low alcohol beer.

Bottle from the outlaws - cheers! My lovely mum in law always buys me a beer when we go around for dinner. Unfortunately despite my best hints that I like new beers, she tends to play it safe and gets something I've had before. When she bought this, she thought she was getting the regular Ghost Ship, and was disappointed to find it was the low alcohol one. I on the other hand was overjoyed as it was a new rate! The beer is a pale amber with a white head and a light fizz. It's got light citrus notes balanced against a nice biscuitty malt background. There's just the right amount of bitterness. The flavours are a little muted compared to regular Ghost Ship, and it's definitely on the thin side, but it's nevertheless one of the better low alcohol brews I've had. I'd be quite content with this if I was driving (and for that matter, would prefer it to a lot of the regular strength bitters out there!).

0,5l bottle as “Adnams Ghost Ship 0,5%” from Stonemanor, The British Store near Brussels. F: thin, off-white quick gone. C: amber, clear. A: light citrus, malty, bit caramel, biscuits touch. T: light malty base, some citrus, caramel, dry on the palate, decent long lasting bitterness, ok drinkable, not such disaster for low alc. beer.

BBE 09/2020, Lot A9256; Surprisingly aromatic on the nose for hoppy alcohol free beer, citrus peel, mild lemonade, sweet orange, hints of honey, light bread underneath, slightly stale feel on the edges, subtle melon, low herbal notes, no obvious flaws

Bottle thanks to Katie. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - certainly some citrus and biscuit going on, lighter but much like the normal Ghost Ship. Taste - again, quite fruity and malty. Obviously lighter. Palate - light bodied. Creamy middle. Dry finish. Overall - this drank more like a 3% afternoon ale than 0.5.

330ml can @ DryJan beer tasting, Chez Sophie, Jan '20. Clear gold appearance, frothy white bubbles.. twiggy metallic malt, soft citra.. didn't realise standard ghost ship used citra, seems noticeable here. Bit watery and thin of course, but fine overall.
