We think the russian tsar would have liked his stout this way. A dark, rich ale in which a generous sweetness with roasted malt bitterness. Serving temp.10°C/50°F. Great with vanilla ice cream or dark chocolate.

bottiglia 33 cl, bel cappello di schiuma color cappuccino media grana persistente, colore nero, al naso cacao caffè caramello vaniglia leggerissimo affumicato, in bocca è avvolgente cremosa liquorosa caramello cioccolato fondente frutta secca, corpo strutturato, alcool ben bilanciato, carbonazione leggera, attacco dolce con amaro deciso lungo nel finale. Ottima! Un piacere berla. Da sorseggiare con calma. 28.09.18

Efficace, terriblement efficace cet Imperial Stout de Nogne 0 basé sur un très bel équilibre et des arômes francs de café auxquelles viennent s'ajouter du chocolat, des épices et des notes de fruits noirs. En verre, rien à redire, c'est classe avec un noir total surmontée d'une fine mousse brune de 3 mm. Le nez est franc, café devant, avec chocolat, épices et prune venant l'enrichir. A l'attaque, c'est le côté fruité qui se fait remarquer avec une base café, chocolat et épices. le café devient vraiment prédominant en seconde bouche avec des épices venant le renforcer. Le chocolat et le fruit sont alors en arrière-plan. L'arrière bouche, d'une bonne ampleur est quant à elle sur un beau duo café/amertume donnant un beau relief au stout. La troisième, linéaire en terme d'arômes voit l'amertume monter d'intensité jusqu’ 'au final, superbe et long où celle-ci s'exprime complètement (IBU de 75), alliés à de beaux arômes de café (et de quelques notes épicées). L'alcool, à 9 %, structure quant à lui très bien l'ensemble sans s'imposer. Vraiment plaisant.

Zwart bier met mooie stevige bruine schuimkraag die lang blijft staan, Smaak is licht zoet, licht bitter en warm met iets van bittere chokolade, iets van koffie en cognac. Erg goed bier, om te genieten.

Black beer, thick brown head. Hearty smell of malt, chocolate, toffee. Taste has pretty much the same qualities, with a sweet chocolate hit up front that gets balanced out by the drier flavour from the malt which lingers into the aftertaste. Rich, smooth and hefty. Very tasty.

Bottle at home. Black with brown head that doesn’t leave any trace. Licorice, blackberries, ash, coffee. That’s basically what this is, strong roust with tart, almost puckering dark fruits, the same way you get from a nice espresso. There’s some thick sweetness too of course, but it’s hidden behind the roast. Some soft herbs and a bit of apple. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Good imperial stout and dangerously drinkeable.

0.33 l bottle brought by Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran from Oslo. Thanks. Dark brown to black, medium tan head. Roasty, espresso, dried fruit, prunes. Dry. Thick, medium body, ash, dry finish. Good.

Aroma røsted malt, kaffe, sjokolade, vanilje. Utseende sort med brunt skum. Smak røsted malt, kaffe vanilje, sjokolade, noe lakris. Balansert smaksrik, lang ettersmak med lakris mot slutten, noe bitterhet. Godt øl Flaske smakt hjemme september 2012, 50cl 9%
