We brewed a generously dry-hopped Sour IPA with Chinook and fermented it on 80g/l of lychees. Expect tart grapefruit and sour lychees in our first soured IPA. Artwork is inspired by the dystopian landscapes of the Mad Max cult films.

Keg at Fierce Bar. It pours rich golde. With a small bubbly white head. The aroma is fresh, tart, tangy, juicy, lychee, floral, rose, lactic and tinned fruit. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, actually sweeter than expected, earthy, oily, soapy citrus, fragrant, lychee, Turkish delight, fruit cordial, tinned fruits and some booze with a slick, oily finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. A bit sweet sweeter and heavier than expected. Ok.

Sour, lots of lichee, but there's a slightly off, almost soapiness to it...

Can. Turner’s, Sheffield. Pale gold. Light haze. Film of white. Nose has tinned lychees. Lemon yoghurt. Oats. Bready grain. Taste is light sour, with a light, tangy bitterness. Light to medium body. Low carbonation. Tart, and light sour finish. Slight acidic burn right on the close. Ok. Certainly not up to the level of this brewer’s other recent releases.
