Near clear amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, light and mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, traces of caramel and cream. Ripe fruits and dried fruits. There is a pleasant touch of Brambling Cross dark berry fruits under the usual Christmas spice assault. Soft smooth cinnamon dominates, pinch of nutmeg maybe. Light and semi dry finish. Yes, it over done Christmas nonsense season once again, this one, I reckon, will taste better than most.

Bottle from a stall at Tulleys Farm, Crawley. Pours a hazy dark amber colour with a thinnish off white head. Aromas of caramel, nuts, bread and citrus orange. Taste has more of the same notes again with some added biscuits, toasty bread, some spice and a nice mellow hop bitterness on the finish. Nicely balanced. Thin to medium body, low carbonation and smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Very festive. Nice beer.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Clear, reddish, dark amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Mellow malty aroma, a touch of malt lozenge and caramel, metallic hoppy overtones with a very cautious touch of orange peel. Taste is sweet-ish malty, hints of toffee, some caramel, cautious malt spiciness, slightly grassy, minimally citrusy and metallic hoppy overtones with a touch of orange peel. Nice malty basis with almost X-masy sweet-ish and spicy touch.

Cheers Chris (Mr Pink) for this 500ml bottle that you brought to the Cotteridge gathering on 23rd June 2018. I managed to get a sample large enough to rate. Copper body, beige head that hung around. Malty molasses rule the brew, some toffee in the nose, caramel in the taste along with a slight hop balance.
