A juicy, hazy, dank double IPA with notes of passion fruit, mango, pineapple, starfruit, papaya, and tangerine. Blurring the lines of deliciousness, Cosmic Distortion’s flavor profile is hypnotically smooth.

Pours murky mango into an IPA glass. Bright white soapy head with medium retention recedes leaving gloppy lacing. Sour earth and caramel aromas. Soft with tangerine peel, sourdough and hot caramel upfront turning to earthy pith in the medium length finish.

Can from Wine Press, Beacon St, Boston. Fairly bitter, phenolic, leafy. Suspect this one might not be fresh.

Draft taster pour at Powder Keg Beer and Chili Festival. Appearance is milky, light yellow, bubbly ring of white head, decent retention, no sparkle evident. Aroma is vague fruit, vague vegetal/grass, floral. Taste is fruit and herb. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, nice fruity finish that is the best part of it. Overall, not a bad beer but not impressive for a DIPA. Aroma and Taste could/should be much more bold.

Pours a hazy orange/amber from a can. Smells like a fresh cut mango with a faint mint and camphor in the background. Similar flavor. Good beer.

Can at LKS. It pours lightly hazy golden with a small, foamy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, bright, apricot, peachy, bit of spice, fruit cordial, Cointreau and tangy action. The taste is dry, bitter green, weedy, floury bread, grassy, weedy dank, pineapple, ripe stone fruits, rawness and some alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation.

Can shared in Hackney - picked up in Boston. Pours lightly hazed gold with a tight, fluffy white head. The nose holds grapefruit, lemon, a nip of cat pee. Light-medium sweet flavour with touches of pale bread, some melon, more grapefruit and lemon, modest rindy bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Subtle warmth in the finish, more grapefruit, mellow white grape, pine needles, more rindy lemon. Good stuff overall.
