Keg at CBC Covent Garden. It pours opaque, near black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, dark chocolate, rocky road, liquorice and tangy berry. The taste is dry, bitter, charred wood, slick, oily, sticky, heavy sweetness, tangy cherry, berry skin, chocolate and plenty of black forest gateaux. Medium to full body and fine, foamy carbonation. Nice tangy berry character. Not bad at all.

Craft TCR. Keg. Almost opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Very fruity dark malts, some dark malt cream. Good berry fruits. Pinch of spice. Touch of coffee on the smooth finish. Unusual and nice.

Keg at CBC Holborn, 16/07/18. Black with a well presented tan covering Nose is burnt toffee, bittersweet malts, cocoa powder, charr, dried fruits, liquorice. Taste comprises roast malts, brown sugars, light roast, charr, black peppery spice, fruit compote, liquorice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Passable impy stout but a touch overly sweet and lacking balance.

Keg at the new Twisted Barrel (much bigger Taproom) Good Friday, 30th March 2018. Pours black with large creamy texture cappuccino coloured head. There is a very nice sour cherry bite to this, it's smooth and there is a nice light chocolate bite, however I really like the tart fruity bite. Soft in the mouth, drinks very easy, good beer.
