Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW - London. Pours clear copper-brown with a foamy, tan head. The nose holds toasted grains, earthy hops, grass. Light sweet flavour with notes of old, leathery berries, earth, a little plastic, astringent grassy notes. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with strong grassy bitterness, some ash, more old leather, grains. Not the best.

Cask @ Market Porter, Borough SE1. Pours a dark ruby amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with weak hints of dark fruit. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Deep mahogany, almost black, with a loose beige head; lightly spiced aroma; demarara sugar taste, but without being sweet and some well done toast in the background; then a firm bitterness, and an earthy, almost peaty, finish. A rather good mild.

Crosse Keys Spoons. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and soft, almost no carbonation. Smooth malts, which are fine. Fair bit of apple, not fine. Smooth dry finish. Not horrible but falls well short of muster.
