Bottle. A more or less black one, topped by a dense, finger-thick dark beige head. The aroma has lots of licorice and a good dash of coffee. Some alcohol notes, dried fruits and molasses. It’s full-bodied, lightly warming and with a nice carbonation level. Salty licorice, molasses, some charcoal and dried fruits in the flavor, with some bitterness. Salty licorice dominates the finish. Nice indeed, but too much on the salty licorice side. 150711

Draught @ Bishops Avenyn during RBScSG. Pours viscous black with a rather big creamy dark mocha head that leaves some sparse trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty with roasted malts, caramel, sweet dark bread, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, sweet liquorice candy, moist soil and alcohol. Taste is sweet, heavy bitter and malty. Mouthfeel is round, astringent, slightly syrupy, boozy and near full bodied. Finish is sweet and heavy bitter with roasted malts, caramel, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, vanilla, soy sauce, liquorice, moist soil and alcohol. Solid impy. Bit sweet perhaps... --- Beer merged from original tick of Metro Man on 09 Jul 2015 at 19:41 - Score: 7. Original review text: #rbscsg2015

Bottle 330ml (Saveur)
Opaque black color, decent brownish head. Aroma is roasted, rubbery and a bit boozy. Full-bodied, very soft palate, velvety. Roasted, alcoholic, some backing hops and rubbery burn notes. This is somewhat relative to Mikkeller Black. Heavy but soft.
