The piccolo is a herbal triple of 8.5% alcohol volume. This beer contains seven different spices, giving it a full body and a golden yellow color. The aromas of thyme and oregano make this beer truly unique.
The triple has a taste of thyme, lavender and oregano and has a fine bitter aftertaste. Combine this beer with a barbecue and you will immediately experience a heavenly spicy taste sensatio.

Bottle from LDW, Eke. Hazy amber colour, creamy white foam. Very spicy beer, lots of thyme, eucalyptus, sweet spices. Some ctirus also. A bit to spicy but not very bad.

F: big, egg-white, long lasting. C: deep gold, hazy. A: malty, orange, thyme, paprika, peppery, herbal. T: malty, thyme, orange, paprika, herbal, fruity, peppery, yeasty, like paprika salty peppery chips, medium to full body, medium carbonation, nice one, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Spar supermarket in Oostende.

Bottle shared at THT. Slight hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is massive herbal, meaty notes and malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

2015 review : Pours bit unclear blonde, small white head. Smell is spiced, very herbal. Taste is bitter, with a strong, hay-like spiced character. Not sure what spices are used, but its very recognizable. i am thinking of lemongrass powder, but am not sure about this. Also has a peppery note (cardamon?) I get that people want to use spices, but It would be fun to have some balance in this as well... 5/10
Re-rate 2020 : Again / Still way to spicy. Toilet cleaner comes to mind, as well as pot-pourri . Mild estery backbone, creating a slick body, like it has been fermented to warm ( but it might just be the spices ? ) . High carb, of course. Rated 5.5/10 this time.
