Rebellion was created by Bear Republic’s brewers as a single hop pale ale to showcase the characteristics of new hop varietals and old favorites. Always brewed with the same American and English malts, the soft malt character allows the unique flavor and aroma of the Ella to shine.

Ella: Rose-like flavor and aroma, pithy citrus, hints of licorice, and a pleasant, well-rounded bitterness. 13.5-16.5% alpha, 2.4-3.4mI/IOOg oil content. Grown in Australia.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy light amber color, compact head. The aroma is nice, bready malts and fruity hops. Nice body, smooth, moderate residual sweetness, cereal and bread character, resiny hops, with an earthy and dank touch.
A bit chewy, but very good.

Golden- amber. Has a light sweet taste. Soft, peachy hop character from the Ella. Balanced, though the malts might be a bit too chewy.

On tap at St Augustine's, pours a hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral hops, some citrus and bready malt. Flavour is quite floral and spicy in the hop department, with a dry bready and astringent finish. Never really been a fan of this hop variety, but it lends a unique profile to this. Solid stuff.
