On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear copper with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong earthy malt and roast. Thin mouth, cloraseptic and nasty burn why

Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. This Scottish Gruit style beer is a dark amber-brown color with a medium beige head and strings of lacing. Aroma of herbs and sweet malt. Medium body with flavors of smoky malt, herbal hops and dark fruit. The finish is toasty with a sweet malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Hazy dark amber with a thick beige head. Nice aromas of malt and herbs. Medium body and average carbonation. It’s malty, but there is a lot of unusual flavor, and that tends to knock down the sweetness. Decently bitter. Slightly medicinal in the finish. Doesn’t finish sweet. A complex flavor set like no other. Pretty tasty.
