Cask at the JDW Square Peg; opaque dark brown pour with a creamy beige head, chocolate and roast malt aroma, taste has caramel fudge, some dark fruits, coffee in the background.

Hamilton Hall. Spoons. Cask. Clear deep amber - brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with decent fine carbonation. Nice conditioning from HH again. Earthy malts, touch of mild roast and a trace of coffee. Counterpoint of tangy fruits and semi sweet black tea. Little floralness before a light semi dry finish. Flavoursome and drinkable.

Cask at the Victoria Station Spoons - London. Pours clear amber-brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma holds toasty, doughy brown bread, dark fruits, blackberries, faint cocoa. Medium sweet flavorbwith more berry character, some licorice, burnt sugars, bread, faint earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Finishes with more toasty brown bread, some burnt grains, brown sugar, ripe berries, licorice, grapes. Interesting stuff. Pretty good.

Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. Reddish chestnut with a thin ring of white head; chocolate malt aroma; sweet toffee malt taste, with a touch of spice; then a dry finish with lingering purple fruit. (23-Mar-2015 - 6/4/6/3/14=3.3)

33cl from Beer52.com. almost pitch black with a reddish chestnut gleam and a billowing cream head that settled to a tight, lasting covering; milky drinking chocolate aroma; slightly earthy, with a sweet fruity taste and a creamy texture; then a long dry chocolatey finish with some lingering purple fruit. Cask at the White Lady. Pours dark brown, thin cream coloured head. Aromas of chocolate and toffee. Taste is more of the same. Creamy texture, sweet chocolate at the end.
