Taste comprises red berry skins, musty, damp hay, funk, tangy red berries, oak, mellow barrel whisper, light spice, funk. Medium + body, fine carbonation, drying close. On draught at the Funkatorium. Pours a dark brown color with some ruby around the edges, and a medium thick off-white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart fruit, oak, yeast and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of tart cherries and berries, sherry barrel, oak and bready malt. The finish is moderately sour with a lingering berry aftertaste. Really good beer all around.
