Draft at RBWG: Poured a orange with white head. Aroma and taste were nice strong hops and tropical fruit.

RBWG16 – the luncheon. Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a clear deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a dirty white head. The aroma offers up inviting pineapple, tangerines and then spicy dank onions blended with floral hops (and the floral notes grew as it warmed). The taste is right on mark where there’s a pleasing blend of juicy pineapple and tangerine to go with bitter grapefruit citrus like hops. Toward midway modest spicy onion dankness joins in to add further depth to the experience. Beneath the hops are mild levels of the base malts creating adequate support. Solid IPA.

Keg at the brewery tap, 30/01/16. Clear golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is a little thin, melon, orange peel, toasted malt, light hop load. Taste comprises orange pith, caramel, citric tinged straw, melon, light bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a hoppy wash. Ok IPA.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear, orange-gold with a creamy white head. There are grainy pale malts in the nose, some ripening citrus. Moderately sweet, with more grainy malts, husk, hay, orange rind. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish, with more grains, citrusy hops, some bitter rind. Not bad overall.

Tap at the brewpub. Deep golden-orange with a full, fine head. Nose is dank grapefruit, diesel oil. Oily, quite dank citrus fruity flavor, the finish is bitter and a bit rough.

Draught at Cooperage. Almost clear orange liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of tangerine, citrus, bread, light booze, pineapple and caramel. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with notes of citrus, tangerine and caramel. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Decent. Bit malty.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma has a nice, malt backbone with some cracker notes and light toasted bread. Moderate hop notes with some tropical fruit and a bit of stone fruit. Light citrus. Pours a fairly clear, copper color with a medium sized, fairly thick white head that recedes to a film that lingers. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is nice with some light sweetness with some cracker, caramel, and toasted bread notes. Medium bitterness with some nice, sweet tropical fruit hop notes. Some light citrus notes with a bit of stone fruit and a light spiciness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer with really nice hop notes. The equinox is used really well with a nice sweetness to it that compliments the fruity hop notes.
