330ml bottle. Clear, faint, amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish malty, fruity yeasty aroma, notes of apple, red berries, apple purée, oat flakes, jelly babies, cautious yeast spiciness. Taste is sweet, minimally artificial fruity, sugary, notes of jelly babies, red berries; slightly watery. Fuckin’ far from a veritable Belgian Ale, aside from sweet guck specimen like ’La Mère Noël’.

Bottle thanks to Bunce. It pours clear yellow with a decent white head. The nose is soft, toasty grain, pear drops, melon, apple, sweet candy and bread. The taste is sweet, doughy, toasty grain, straw, icing sugar, some alcohol, pear drops, melon, apple and candy with a dry, warming finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit too sweet for my liking. So-so. Good boost though.

Bottle from Cork and Cask. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - lemon balm and green note, toffee in the back. Taste - mostly toffee. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly decent finish. Overall - it can’t be mistaken as a Belgian beer.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear golden body with a large off-white head. Low carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of digestive biscuits, figs and wholemeal bread. Flavour of wet cardboard, herbs and a faint note of fig. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. Dull and flat - not great.
