Bottle thanks to Bill. Pours a cloudy orange copper with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong floral hop and pine. Nice hop bite, thick mouth, strong pine, grapefruit, resin, and lingering bitterness. Really enjoyed this one.

Got in a trade with TheFugitive. 22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours very hazy deep orange amber color with a 2 finger dense off white head with great retention; that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of huge pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, orange peel, lemon zest, floral, pine, caramel, honey, grass, and floral earthiness; with some light booze. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of tropical/citrus hop notes with a good malt balance; and big strength. Taste of big tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon zest, floral, pine, caramel, honey, grass, and floral earthiness. Good amount of earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, pineapple, floral, pine, caramel, honey, grass, and floral earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hop flavors; with a moderate malt balance that doesn’t overpower the hops; and minimal cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a slick, sticky, and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is fairly well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent big Imperial IPA. All around great balance and complexity of tropical/citrus hops with good malt balance; and quite smooth to sip on. A bit boozy, but not bad. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle shared by Ken and Eric at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. My lucky day. Sitting in the bar and Eric walks in with a bomber. Poured hazy gold with a slight white head. Full bodied. Flavor is a sort of thick* hop sauce - not sweet- just thick and hoppy. Incredibly smooth. No heat. Bitter! Brilliant ale. *Yeah, thick isn’t a flavor, but that’s how my mind wanted it.

Bottle thanks to womencantsail. Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a white head. Aromas are big pineapple, guava, dank hops, tropical fruit. A bit sweet and boozy in the aroma. Flavors are of canned pineapple, sweet alcohol, papaya, tropical fruit and candied kumquats. Not much malt flavor, and most of the sweetness seems to come from the alcohol. Well carbonated and quite boozy. Nice.

Aroma is balanced hop character with some nice tropical fruit, some light citrus and quite a bit of hop resin. The alcohol is noticeable but not too sharp. The malt character is light with a bit of cracker. Pours a fairly clear gold with a hint of copper. The head is moderately thick with a very slightly off-white color. The head slowly fades leaving a fairly thick film on the top and along the edges. Flavor starts with some nice sweet malt character with light cracker and caramel. Some light fruity and citrus hop flavor but with quite a bit of resin. The finish has quite a bit of alcohol heat with a very slight lingering bitterness but the finish is mostly alcohol. As it warms the alcohol bite fades. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with some slight smoothness. Lots of alcohol but not too much heat. Astringency is low or just hidden behind the alcohol. Overall this is a fairly nice TIPA and the alcohol is fairly well carried. The alcohol isn't too hot and as the beer warms the hops become more noticeable in relation to the alcohol. Bottle many thanks to joeneugs. Pours clear amber, with a medium white head. The nose is pine, tangerine, orange, white grape, kiwi, caramel and honey - complex and balanced nose. The taste is pine, resin, orange, tangerine, red grapefruit, white grape, grass, pepper, honey, floral and lingering alcohol warmth (but not representative to 12.5%) with a long, bitter finish. Medium to full body, fine carbonation and slightly syrupy mouth-feel. Difficult to fault it really as it’s so well balanced for this percentage. Great depth of flavour and impressive level of complexity. Wow!
