Sampled from bottle at Kingsnight Avoidance Tasting. Congrats to kermis with 9000 ratings, big milestone, keep it up! Big thanks. Black with almost no head, creamy tan. Light sweet, dense, mild roasted coffee, coffee candy, dark chocolate, sweet soy, non-sour balsamic, vanilla, dades, figgs, sappy raisins, licorice, light hazelnut, pecan, sweet dark wood, nice cognac barrel note, subtle actually. Medium sweet, light chocolatey bitter. Full body, very slick oily and velvety. Light carbonation. Massive stuff.

Rating #9000! Bottle shared at Kings night avoidance tasting. Black with a small and short lived ring beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, smooth cognac barrel notes, light oak, base dark lord soy coming out, molasses, fudge. Flavour is heavy sweet, though nowhere near as sweet as fresh dark lord or newer variants. Full bodied with a thick chewy palate, alcohol warmth in the finish and soft carbonation.

Bottle #474 with hella thanks to Dak! Shared with friends. Pours opaque black with a small creamy brown head that dissipates fairly quickly and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is hella rich cocoa, cognac, fudge, vanilla, dark fruits. Flavor follows, medium sweet and light bitter, lots going on here, and its all good. Fully body, creamy mouthfeel. Flavor can’t quite rise to the level of the hella good aroma, but its still a damn nice beer.
