Bottle at Craft Beer Clerkenwell thanks to Ken, 09/03/13. Clear golden amber with a medium sized off white cap. Nose is hops, sugars, herbal qualities, spice rack, thyme, lemon. Taste comprises hops, pine, caramel malt, grapefruit, toffee. Full end of medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitterness and spice in the finish. Good stuff.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell, London. Thank you Ken! Pours red-gold with a fine, creamy white head. Spicy pine in the nose, hints of ginger. Medium to big sweet flavor, lots of toasty, bready malts, hints of dry brown sugar. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately resinous to finish, some juicy berriea, bitter pine, sweet bread. Not bad.

Deep amber coloured body with a thick, four centimetre tall tan head - very nice. Aroma of pungent grassy and very piney hops with some resin and a bunch of malt and alcohol - very nice nose as well. Full-bodied; Deep piney and almost spruce flavours throughout with a bit of bitterness from the back end and really does taste like gin (hence juniper berries) with a bitter finish. Aftertaste very earthy, herbal and showing some good flavours throughout - with a deep alcohol bite and a pungent, full flavoured finish. Overall, a very nice Imperial IPA showing some new flavour profiles, a good body and a filling, yet not too high alcohol beer. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Hi-Times Spirits in Costa Mesa, California on 05-August-2012 for US$6.37 sampled at home in Washington on 23-September-2012.

Bottle. Pours dark clear amber with a thin tan head that dissipates quickly with good lacing. Aroma has strong notes of pine and citrus hops as well as toasted malt / caramel. Flavor is well balanced; initial blast of citrus hops, followed by strong roasted malt character, finishing extremely bitter into the aftertaste. Alcohol is well masked in this complex beer.

GABF. Clear amber beer. Very aromatic and bittering hops with a medicinal note. The aroma alone made me sneeze! 3.

Hazy amber - brown beer, good pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry and crispy. Creamy malt provides silky smoothness. Hops are minty and piney. Whisper of orange. The sage blends in nicely here. The juniper adding a nice subtle fruit. Finishes smooth and malty creamy with fresh hop spice. Nicely thought out IPA - the additions sepperating it out from the crowd. Very drinkable.

Bottle 75cl.Clear medium amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, manadarin - orange, berry - juniper, light grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft. [20091123]

clear brown, small white head. aroma is hoppy, flowery. flavor is sweet flowery hoppy, some bitter hoppy (pine), balanced by a pleasant malty sweetness. ends bitter, some of it hoppy bitter, the rest jiust .. bitter.
