Specially brewed using an infusion of Chinese bruised ginger root and botanical extracts, Old Tom Ginger is a lively breed indeed. It has a delicious purring warmth for those colder winter nights…and a refreshing summer coolness when served over ice.

Bottle: Deep ruby-amber coloured, very stable creamy tanned head; cola-like nose with spicy ginger in the background; sweet flavour, medium bodied, soft MF; sweet spicy finish with sharp ginger in the aftertaste. A sick brew.....

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a large head. Aroma is warm ginger, some hops trying to fight their way in. Ginger start. Warm ginger finish. Could be fuller in the mouth. Not bad but too much like having a soft drink.

0.33L bottle, medium stable head, brown with lots of burgundy red streaks, strong aroma of toilet detergent with hints of spice and ginger, aroma of caramel and some dried fruits and that detergent coming to visit, light sour aftertaste and an overall sticky feeling. Not good and quite sickly.

Bottle 50 cl. Clear orangey brown with a small off-white head. Sweetish spicy nose. Light body, fairly sweet fruit and a distinct and peppery ginger note in the finish. 080510

Bottle. Dark brown with a quickly-diminishing beige head. Aroma with a lot of ginger, some spiciness, and some slightly sugary malt underneath. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, a bit of nuts, light fruitiness and lots of ginger. Finishes peppery and alcoholic with harsh ginger bitterness. Medium-bodied. Not completely undrinkable, but quite unpleasant. Maybe it’s just my dislike for ginger.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Reddish ambery brown colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is ginger, some citrus fruits, mild grassyness as well. Flavour is ginger and some slight parfumed soapy notes as well. The ginger also gives a slight burn after swallowing the beer.
