Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is roasted malt, whiskey, paint thinner, alcohol, chocolate, methylated spirit, light peat, some notes of dried dark fruits. Flavour is above medium sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium to full. Quite harsh and hot, first real disappointment I’ve had from Kees, no smoothness or balance here, flawed harsh brew.

Bottled. Pitch black colour with a longlasting beigeish brown head. Aroma is smoked, some peated tones with alcohol and some chocolaty tones. Flavour is chocolate, roast, some mild cocoa, alcohol, ashes and some wooden tones too.

*rating overgezet 2017* Het is een diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft een gebrande moutige en dropachtige geur. De smaak is bitter, zoethout, drop en turf.

330mml. bottle as part of the "European Local Swap 3/2018", many thanks Benzai. Tasted on the 01/11/2018 at home. Pitch dark brown colour with a medium beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, whisky, oak barrels, alcohol and riped fruits. Taste is intense boozy alcohol presence with whisky, oak and riped fruits. Warm and dry finish. Next one please!

From tap at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Black color with brown head. Malty aroma, alcohol, smoked, perfume notes, some chocolate and cocoa, dark dried fruits, iodine, wood. Sweet and light bitter taste like aroma. Medium to full silky oily body with soft carbonation.

Bouteille @ Tderoeck's pre New Year diner. Thanks Tim. Brune foncée, col épais sur léger doré au verre, col crémeux café au lait. Arôme offre de fines effluves de barrique aevc un whisky bien présent, fruité noir avec qcq pointes de boisé en rétro Palais met bien en avant la barrique, fruité pomme et poire, caramel avec une note collante dans un effet toffee assez devant. Whisky offre un léger côté boisé et vanillé. Le tout sur un effet style plus scottish ale, fin chocolaté, et un peu de mal à détecter le Sorachi?

28/XII/17 - 33cl bottle, sitting round the house for quite a while now, forgot where I bought it @ 2nd post-Christmas Tasting (home) - BB: II/2022 (2017-2256)

Clear dark brown beer, big creamy irregular beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of whisky, alcohol, some banana, vanilla, melon peel, caramel, roasted touch. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body, smooth silky texture. Taste: soft roast, lots of alcohol, bitter, lots of whisky, some banana, chocolate, more roast, whisky flavours. Aftertaste: lots of whisky, banana peel, more whisky, bitter, lots of alcohol.
