A new Russian favorite. Nice.
Black as a pirate should be. Hugh beige head that leaves a nice lacing down the sides of the glass. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium (+) body and an average carbonation. Not as high as feared. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Semi dry texture. Licorice, coffee, roast, pine, fruity and citric. Absolutely recommendable.

500ml bottle from Koht, Tallinn. Pours dark brown, almost black with a smooth white head. Aroma of roasty malts, hops, salty licorice, tar, tobacco and ashy notes. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and grainy with some hints of fruits, earthiness and licorice. Finish is hoppy, herbal and slightly roasty with some licorice and coffee. Okay.

50cl bottle from the shop in Parnu pours a watery, but translucent, dark brown with some creamy, lacing, tan head. Nose is heavy with bread crust, rubber and toast, pine too, mild molasses. Flavor is sweet with malt and a little molasses, then big blood orange and pine and toast. Finishes a little slick, a little sweet and a little bitter. Not bad though.

50cl bottle from Uba ja Humal, Tallinn. Pours close to black with a fairly modest, but lasting beige head. Roasty aroma with hoppy notes, citrus, dark fruits, tropical fruits, mild, dark chocolate and hints of coffee and pine. Moderate to medium sweet with a nice mixture of dark and roasty and the light and hoppy flavours. Finishes pleasantly bitter, but fairly short aftertaste. Easy to drink and a rather pleasant experience.
