Bottle at home, köszi Tomi! Jet black, thin head. Nose is chocolate, cocoa powder, some bitterness. In taste the same notes appear with cocoa-ish, slightly bitter finish. Light body, soft carbo. More like a bitter stout than a black IPA.

Bottle split at L6, from the first Euro Swap of 2020 with thanks to Wendigo, 10/02/20. Light black to mahogany brown with a decent tan cap. Nose is dusty red berry fruits, earthy hops, cocoa sprinkle, charr, mellow roast malts. Taste comprises pine needle, toffee, dried fruits, light charr. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close coated with dusty hops. Passable CDA.

Bottle shared at the Columbus tasting 10/02/2020. Many thanks to Colin! A murky dark brown coloured pour with a lasting dark tan head. Aroma is dirty piney, brown roast, dirty hazelnut. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, dirty bready, pine, liquorice, hazelnut, liquorice, woody pine, sap. Palate is frothy, airy, moderate carbonation. ok.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Colin. Pours clear brown with a big, foamy khaki head. So so, a little dusty earth, ash, coffee grounds, burnt wood. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Dry finish, some ash, cocoa, burnt pine. So so.

330ml bottle, thanks to djoeye for sharing. Black in the glass, bubbly beige head, spotty lacing. Promising aroma of roasted grainy malts with hints of dark chocolate. Roasted grain-fruity flavours, citrus and chocolate malts. Malt-fruity tail with roasted coffee bitterness. Fine bodied. Likable. (Session with Finn and djoeye, Pivoteka H7, Tromsø 23.08.2019).

Spandert av djoeye. Delt med ham og Rune i H7. Svart. Filmskum med litt farge. God sjokoladearoma. Smaken sjokolade, lakris & røstet malt. God tørr bitter avslutning.

From the bottle. Dark brown with a tall, frothy beige head that lingers. Aroma of spruce, coffee, roasted grains. Taste is mildly bitter, chalky, makes you thirsty. Body is medium, clingy, oily. Carbonation is moderate. Okay but not quite there.
