Deep black body. Creamy-rocky brown head. Aroma of malts, vanilla, orange, ... moderately bitter, moderately sweet flavour. Not completely well balanced.

F: huge, tanned, long lasting. C: black, opaque. A: dark malts, bit roasted tones, chocolate, bit spicy, herbal, coffee, cocoa, dark bread, caramel, bit tobacco, dried fruits, bit earthy. T: light oily mouthfeel, dark malts, chocolate, a lot of chilli spicy especially in the aftertaste, bit coffee, cocoa, herbal, bit earthy, tobacco, bit mint but more imaginable than real, bit dark dried fruits, very nice connection of dark malts, sweet dark fruity tones and so spicy, full complex body, medium carbonation, I like it, fully enjoyed, sipper, 33cl bottle from ZBF 2018.

28 April 2018, at Zythos Bierfestival. Deputy Taster: Anke.
Hazy dark brown to black with a lasting, frothy, beige head; little lacing. Strong aroma of chili pepper, roasted malt, vanilla, dark chocolate, figs, (candied) raisin, bourbon, mint & coffee roast. It tastes medium to heavy roasted (coffee-like) bitter and light malty sweet with 'powdery' dark chocolate & tobacco ashes, already some spicy notes in the back and a slight umami touch. Dry, toasty, cigar-like, bitter finish with lingering pepper. Medium body, slick to oily texture, fizzy to lively carbonation. Definitely complex, perhaps somewhat overdone (and overcarbonated), but a real sipper and worth the try.

Dark brown with thin head. Aroma and flavour have some sweet dark malts. The flavour has a moderate chilli heat in the finish.

28/IV/18 - shared @ Zythos Bierfestival 2018 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2018-575) Thanks to the ratebeer crew for sharing today's beers!

Clear dark brown beer, big aery irregular beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice roast, caramel, bit sweetish, good stuff going on here! MF: soft carbon, medium body, soft alcohol burn (or is it the chillies? Well, at 11.5% it's probably both). Taste: nice roast, lots of alcohol, very roasted, charcoal, ashes, bitter hops. Aftertaste: very dry, bitter roast, alcohol burn, bit spicy, soft chilli burn. Decent beer, but not enough body for the amounts of chilli being used. If this would be a full malt brew clocking in at 11.5%, it would've been perfect, providing enough body and residual sweetness to balance the chillies!
