the fillness from the malty types and notes from roasted barley like you know it from porters and stouts. The color is like walnut brown – deep and dark.
The bitterness is 135 IBU’s, and we have dry hopped with a lot of hops – 4 different types. The sweetness is from 5 different malts, taste of caramel from crystal malt and notes from the chocolate malt. Hophorn is very tasteful and we recommend tulipglass – it’s the way the beer should be served with it’s beige foam. Hophorn is perfect to cheese. The creamy cheeses, the oldest blue cheeses and the goatcheese. Try it to spicy food, but don’t forget to drink water. Then it all tastes much better. The temperature should be around 12-14 degrees. The beer is unfiltered so there might be some sediment in the bottle.

Tap at Craft Clerkenwell. Dark brown/black colour, small golden head. Aroma is boozy, bit of citrus, DIPA toughness. Taste is nice. Good bitterness, decent amount of roast. (end of a long day rating).

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark, very close to black, with limited cream colored foam. Aroma is rich: sweet, resinous, and herbaceous. Body is medium-dense and with some stickiness. Quite some tongue tickling from intense carbonation in the mouth. Taste is bitter, yes, but rich and full, with roasted and lightly smoked feeling and a sweet underlying taste. Finish is long.

Tasted from tap on the 07/05/2017. Hazy dark brown colour with a medium sized beige head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, caramel, hops and grass. Taste is medium sweet caramel and hoppy with a dry hoppy finish. Next one please!

21/XII/16 - 50cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ Syntra Gent - BB: 19/VI/17 (2016-1474) Thanks to Didier for sharing the bottle!
Clear dark brown beer, small aery irregular beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very sweet, honey, caramel, dried fruits, vanilla and milk chocolate. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very sweet and malty start, caramel, pretty bitter and hoppy, soft roast, chocolate. Aftertaste: caramel, sweet, honey, dried fruits, some chocolate, soft hoppy finish, nice beer! Probably much better fresh!

A deep dark brown ipa with a super thick frothy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet nutty caramel malt with loads of resinous pungent floral hops, treacle, chocolate, light butterscotch, light coffee, very nice. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with loads of resinous herbaceous floral hops, lingering chocolate bitterness, resinous oily mouth feel, light treacle, very nice after more than 3 years.
