Avenyn Ale presents a fresh citrusy aroma that is rounded off by a pleasant bitterness. This very first Dugges beer combines Cascade, Chinook, Centennial, Citra and Simcoe hops for a tropical feel.
This is one of the first beers we ever brewed. Less than one month after Dugges Bryggeri started in 2005, the first batch of Avenyn Ale was bottled. Ever since Brew Master Mikael started thinking about starting a brewery an American Pale Ale was on his mind. A hop forward ale that, at the time, really challenged your average Swedish beer drinker. This is our always and forever beer, for as long as we can remember.

Keg at CPK - Londkn. Pours clear yellow-gold with a foamy white head. The aroma smacks of faded hops and sugary white bread. Medium sweet flavorbwith some white grape, white sugar, alcohol, bread, lettuce, old pine needles. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky and lightly warming to finish, with further pale bread, old pine, some vague citrus fruits. Perhaps this beer was good once...

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy gold. Minimal, but sticky and lasting, white head. Light, peachy, apricot hop. A bit skunky. Fair amount of flinty mineral. Taste is pretty sweet, turning crisp dry, and light bitter. Zippy, clean mouthfeel. Finishes fresh, zesty bitter. That sweetness is still kicking around, mind. Super drinkable. A grower.

Noe uklar brun farge med lav skumtopp. Lukter ananas og sitrus. fruktig og medium fylde. Synes aromaen er bedre enn smak, men ellers enn god APA. noe bitter avslutning.
