On tap at Baird - Harajuku, pours a cloudy golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out grassy hops, straw and biscuity malt. Flavour is clean, with herbal hops, biscuity malt, and straw. Not the most refined hop expression but pleasant enough. Solid.

Tap at CBM Sendai. Nice, lots of citrus, bit of lemon but more orange than anything. Taste has some maltiness too in the body. Kind of sweet, caramel. Good stuff.

Tap @ Baird Nakameguro Taproom. Yellow golden pour, decent foam top. Nose is fresh, lightly bitter, crisp and definitely refreshing. Taste has actually good amount of hops, malts are softer and more full of flavour when I compare the sensation with more “normal" pilsners. I guess British malts are giving this extra sensation. Otherwise good lightly bitter and definitely crisp beer, drinks easy and goes down nicely. Well done.

On tap. Pours a clear yellow color with a large white head. A nice smooth pils malt and lemon nose. Sweet, light tart lemon hops, bready. Very smooth. Solid brew.

Baird's Cool Breeze Pils 6% 40 IBU A bit higher ABV than I look for in a summer sipper but the cloudy gold topped with a wisp of foam is appealing. Fresh herbal mint and green hoppy aroma. Medium bodied with a crisp semi-dry finish. The taste is whole grain breadiness with a herbal I'm guessing noble hop bite. Nicer than Little Norway but I'm gonna put that down to freshness. Lagers like IPAs are meant to be drunk fresh in my book. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Aroma: floral, spicy, lemony, husky. Light bodied but enough to feel substantial. Has that caramelised bread crust feel in the malt with a dry, spicy and bitter finish. Refreshing. Pretty good pils.

On tap at Naka-Meguro Taproom summer 2014. Clear golden color with soapy white head. Lemongrass, lime and some citrus on the nose. Hop forward with malts only coming across muted on the palate. Very refreshing with a medium body. Crisp and dry finish. Not really a pilsner fan but this was nice.

Draught at the Fishmarket Taproom. Citrusy American hops aroma. Clean, reminiscent of a golden ale. Centennial? Light, fruity, peppery. Clean, crisp and nice, though not really pils-like.

Dark golden color. Muted nose, but has some Saaz hops noticable. Smooth mouth, sweet malty start. Well balanced. Hoppiness hits back of the mouth. A moderately bitter finish. Very well put together using an ale yeast. Definetely a new summer fav and it goes great with shrimp tempura.
