DBA—a.k.a. Double Barrel Ale—is the trailblazing flagship beer that started it all for us back in 1996. Partially fermented in our patented Firestone Union oak-‐barrel brewing system, DBA quickly took the Central Coast by storm and set the pace for future beers to come. Today, DBA is regarded as a California classic, and stands as an iconic tribute to traditional cask-‐fermented English ales. Pale malts create a smooth middle with ribbons of caramel, English toffee and toasted oak.

A nice creamy beer that is super light and easy but with big complex flavours. A light barrel aged beer is a treat that you don’t find often. Barley & Craft Hamburg

(Bottle, 0.355 l - BB 28.02.2020, from a supermarket, 20190430) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, earth, malts, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste had malts, grass, caramel and bitterness. A pleasant but bit too sweet malty and grassy brew.

Bottle from the Importer. Nose is light, spicy UK hops, a little bit of orange, bready malt and a touch of caramel. Clear, bright, pretty orange-amber with a medium, thick head. Flavor is nicely malty, rich bread and caramel. Hops also better, prickly, peppery, orange. Nicely crisp and bitter finish. Not heavy, but rather full and creamy body. Enjoyable British style bitter.
