Keyaki. Copper coloured, small golden head. Aroma is bit stinky, quite sweet, caramel but skunky too. Quite interesting but maybe not intentional. Taste is decent, light caramel, quite woody, bit of creaminess. Cherry maybe too. Quite nice.

Pours nice brown, bit of foam. Aroma has mainly some nutty caramel, not sweet though which is good. Taste has some toffee, nutty flavours and quite straightforward and authentic caramel malts, peppered with a pinch of hops. Goes down nicely and has still enough body, one of the most enjoyable alt beers I have had in Japan.

Bottle shared with Kanagawa friends back in 2012. Light dried fruit and toasted caramel malts on the nose and light nuttiness. Taste is fairly simple with dried fruit coming out. Sweetish finish with some light dryness.

Bottle. Solid amber color with orange tints, and a middling to low, thick and tight head. Pretty and appetizing. Slightly sweet, malt-rich aroma with dark fruits, molasses, raisins, and a touch of chocolate. Malty, slightly chocolatly and fruity flavor, but not overly rich. Rather dry finish. Good balance. A very sessionable amber ale with rich malt flavors and fruits. Lightly hopped but finishes dry. Decent stuff.

Slightly hazy reddish-brown colour. Slightly toasty aroma with woody notes and light caramel. Rich caramel and toasty palate. Clean and balanced, but gets lighter towards the finish.

Pours a deep, rich red color with a large, fuffy off white head. Aroma is citrus and malt. Body is a bit thin. Flavor is pretty nice. Roasted malts, lemon, a touch of hops round it out. Finish is a little short. Not a bad beer.
