Can. A really nice amber ale. Clear copper-amber color with a small head. Aroma was a toffee-malty aroma with hints of floral-hops. Taste had hints of toffee with a slightly sweet upfront taste and a slightly bitter finish.

Bottle. Astringent cereals, very bitter, musty grains, and hops.light fruity sweetness, and again very very bitter, and not pleasant.

Bottle from 9 Gallon, Warrington. On the lighter side of amber, clear with a bit of a ring of white head. Oak, resin, Angostura bitters, glue and some cranberry in the aroma. Taste is oaky and sweet with a tartness you don't normally get from ambers. Vermouth and more gluey resin on the finish. It's not bad, but has the aura of many decent yet mass-produced US beers (Shipyard, Stevens Point, etc). A solid 'decent enough' 3.2...

Can from Lupe Pintos. Hazy amber body with an off-white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of toffee, Crunchy and burnt sugar. Flavour of stewed tea, lemon and a sharp, slightly metallic finish. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. It smells richer than it tastes, but overall this is a decent Amber Ale.

12 US Fl Oz (355ml) can: BBD 14th May 18. Poured into a Leffe badged chalice at home on 19th May 17. Beer number five in a mini-session with myself. Looks lovely, clean and clear amber body, on top an off-white covering of bubbles. Malty nose, yet also resin/piney hop esters vie for attention within the aroma. Again a malty front to the flavours with a hop action that is trying to balance out the sweetness: my sweet tooth loved the battle between the malts and hops: my taste buds liked the hoppy, semi-bitter finish. Nice beer.
