Lattina.

Pours a quite hazy mid-amber, with a not too big but compact head, the slightest off-white. Good enough retention and some lacing. Nicely vivid and fresh aroma, with good malt complexity (biscuity and toffee notes plus a slight caramel hint) followed by quite vivid fruitiness (orange and slight citrus, in the likes of mature/jam-like notes and even a hint of apple). Taste notes follow the aroma closely, with maybe a hint of earthy tea-like bitterness in finish and aftertaste. Excellent sweet/bitter balance, both are moderate and none stands out, just as you should find in a good bitter. Despite a mild character the beer feels rather fresh and vivid. Light bodied with light to medium carbonation, very good drinkability in a simple mouthfeel. A very good example of the style.

Cask at Macche. Copper, clear, with lace. Nice spicy hop nose, bready malt, touch of caramel, lemon. Nice medium sweetness, lemon, spicy, good level of bitterness, peppery finish. Light and very quaffable. Hits the spot.
