[4/28/15] Draught at Mikkeller Bar in Copenhagen. Black with a tan head. “Green” hops aroma, kinda oniony, with roast and some coffee. Sweet and bitter flavor with roast, “green” hops, chocolate, a bit of licorice and a bit of booziness. Medium to full-bodied. OK, not really my thing.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade. Persistent low, beige coloured head. Coal black body. Rich aroma of leafy hops, forest and dark malts. Lovely taste of dark leaves, coffee, anise, earthy chocolate and ash. Roasted bitter ending with warming alcohol, long-lived. Full bodied, still very smooth on the swallow. Excellent sipper (shared with Skinnyviking, Copenhagen 03.05.2015).

Tap at warpigs . Pitch dark small brown head aroma of roasted malts licorice flavor is very very heavy and full notes of charcoal but the main message is a godly mix of dark dried fruits malts chocolate and whatever else you like subtle notes of wood and booze. Quite sweet but very deep and complex

Tap at Mikkeller, Victoriagade during CBC week. Poured a clear dark mahogany with a round bubbly light tan head. The aroma is big grassy hop. The flavour is strong bitter with a big roasty malt, liqourice, grapefruit citrus, woody resin hop, light medicinal palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Draft at DLD 15. Citrus, licorice, and chocolate malt aroma - very pleasant. Black with small head. Very sweet chocolate-coffee malt flavor. Moderately bitter herbal licorice finish. Smells great but a sugar bomb - tough to drink more than a few ounces. / Bottle version - More floral aroma. Flavor still pretty sweet with a moderately bitter herbal hay flavor. Much better.
