A companion to backyards, backwoods, and balconies alike. River Trip is a low-ABV, Belgian-style table beer with hop-forward grapefruit and stone fruit notes. It’s brewed with local grains and spiced with coriander for an extra hint of citrus. Dry hopping with Comet and Azacca contributes to the mix of melon and grapefruit notes in the beer’s aroma.

Can (3/18/20) pour from Trader Joe's, Bedford. Appearance is lightly hazy yellow with trace sparkle, 2-finger width white foamy head with decent retention and trace lacing. Aroma is wheat, Belgian yeast, lemon and fruity esters, mild tart fruit. Taste is tart fruit, Belgian yeast, bubble gum, coriander. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin, frothy texture, soft-to-average carbonation and mostly yeasty finish with mild bitterness. Overall, reasonable complexity for the style. Not my favorite style but well crafted.

Pour looks like a hazy IPA with a small white head. Aroma is an almost over the top coriander. Flavor is again more coriander with an almost as big melon. Dry on the tongue and after the swallow nothing much is left until the next sip. Decent little beer, must love coriander.

Tasty easygoing table beer, crisp and mildly sweet, offering up gentle grain and vanilla mixed with grass, flowers, pine, and a subtle citrus undertone. Finishes with a lingering hop bite. Wickedly easy to drink.

Very crisp, perfectly clear golden coloured body with a lot of bubbles and a nice three centimetre tall, perfectly white head. Aroma of very fresh grain, with a light biscuity note, a dash of caramelised sugars and stone fruit, but mostly the very nice and elegant yeast strain shows through in the nose, still on the light side, but the nuances of the yeast shines strong. Light-bodied; Strong pungent yeast and bready flavours dominate at first with an easy-drinking malt profile that has a dash of biscuits, but is fairly soft and Belgian in character with a bit of coriander seed freshness poking through, but most of the finishes show the stone fruit and soft flavours from the grain instead of the yeast or biscuits. Overall, a very nice, very easy-drinking beer that reminds me of a lot of others I like in this 'style' or in the mold of a 'Belgian Single', especially Hardywood Singel. Good to sample and well worth trying to find for a great beer in this style and one that can be sampled just about anytime! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Joe Canal's in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on 22-June-2019 for US$2,99 sampled at home in Washington on 22-February-2020, exactly eight months after purchase.

5 oz glass (part of a Flight) in The BrewHouse, San Juan Capistrano on 3rd Jan 2020. Very pale body, good lacing, more Lager like than Belgian in all aspects for me. Highly carbonated, fizzy in fact; but fine all the same, just lacked any discerning flavour or character.
