As a brewery, we haven’t been brewing lagers for a while. This or that has kept us distanced from that world, but we’re dipping back in with a release that’s coming to you on Friday 10/28. You can expect a beer that’s much like an Octoberfest, with a sturdy malt frame, but cloaked under the cover of October’s timely neighbor, November. Come see us and take a drive through Lager Town

16 oz. can, from a discount shelf. Pours a clear, bronze color, with a big, foamy, khaki head. The aroma is pumpernickel, rye, walnut, maple, and vanilla. Sweet and a bit yeasty, with a light bitterness. Light and fluffy, with a bit of crisp breadiness. Solid.

Clear amber body, medium cream head. Nicely balanced with caramel, toasted malts, and a cerealy nuttiness. Medium-bodied; clean. Good.

12 oz. can from Total Wine, Union, NJ. Pours a clear dark bronze color with a large, thick khaki head and great retention. Great lacing too. Caramel malt aroma, as expected. The taste follows the nose. Caramel malt flavor with a short faint hoppy finish. Somewhat generic profile. Tastes like a Vienna lager to me. Light sweetness and low bitterness. Medium body and medium carbonation. Decent, but nothing to rave about. Definitely not top 50 worthy.

Pour is a dark amber with a large tan head. Aroma is typical bready malt but there is a distinct hop in here as well. Flavor is odd. Some bready malt but there is a weird hop or this is under fermented. Everyone else's review on here has this beer above par so maybe I got a bad can but this was a bit off.

The Aromas are caramel malt, toffee with a hint of roast and circus peanuts. Flavors are nice balance of bitter and sweet with strong carbonation but not that much roast. I wish Vienna Malt played a stronger role here. Good body and okay finish.

Draught @ Albion. Reddish dark amber with foamy light beige head, very faint caramel aroma, medium carbonation, lightly bitter taste with strange synthetic feeling caramel flavor, thin watery body, longish bitter finish. Not very good.

16 ounce can. Frothy beige head. Faint toasted malt nose. Tangy toasted malt flavor. Bittersweet notes. Crisp, dry middle has earthy notes. A touch metallic as well. Sticky mouthfeel in finish.

Can at home should've saved for tomorrow but alas. Cooper pour. Nose is malt and caramel. Tastes of caramel, malt, earth, bready light fruit. Fairly sticky. Thicker bodied than most o-fest. Enjoyable.
