Cutting Tiles is an exploratory series of Double IPAs featuring a range of aromatic single hop varietals brewed with raw local wildflower honey. This version is dosed with 100% Galaxy in all kettle, whirlpool and a massive dry hop additions. The wildflower honey keeps the body light and drinkable but provides a floral, earthy backbone.

Juicy, pineapple and mango up front backed up with a fresh citrus character on the nose that continues straight through in the flavor profile. Pillowy soft mouthfeel, with a restrained bitterness on the finish.

16 ounce can from Hamilton Super BuyRite. Hazy yellow gold pour. Rocky white head. Fragrant aromas of citrus, passion fruit and peach. First sip brings notes of zesty orange, dank pine and bittersweet grapefruit. Soft mouthfeel. Hints of pineapple and lemon pith on backend. Very nice.

Can pour from the brewery, Canton. Appearance is opaque, turbid light brown with light sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width, off-white foamy head with poor retention and light leggy lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit and grapefruit, lighter biscuit in the background and slightest hint of herb. Taste is strong honey, tropical fruit, grapefruit, milder herb and late grainy malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with frothy, thick texture, average carbonation and crisp, dry, biscuity and pleasantly bitter finish with hint of herb. Overall, this packs a lot of aroma and flavor. Am not always a huge fan of Galaxy but, if it always taste like this, I would be. Got to be my favorite one-hop Galaxy offering. Drinks lighter than the ABV would indicate. Beware!

Draught, taster. Sampled on the 27/10/2018 at "Mash Beer Festival 2018", Barcelona (Spain). Plenty of haze golden, almost orange, colour with a low white head. Aroma is full of fresh pine hops, tropical fruits and peach. Taste is peach, pine hops, tropical fruits and nectarine. Medium citric. Finish is well balanced with presence of peach and obviously the pine hops. Next one please!

Can shared in Maine. Pours hazy gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds papaya, mango, a little lemon rind. Medium sweet flavour with mellow rindy bitterness, some pale bread. Mediumto full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Well balanced finish, with more mango, papaya, tangerine, melon. Wonderful.
