An IPA, of course. We’re blending our two approaches to the IPA in this East Meets West IPA. Sierra Nevada’s malt body and profile was blended with the heavy-handed, very late hopping schedule employed by Tree House to create a new, hybrid IPA. Lightly bitter and heavy with citrus-like hop flavor.

That is certainly heavy handed on the hops and citrus.

16oz can at the late December DC RB Tasting. Poured a very slightly hazy orange color with a small white head. Aroma was sweet malts, some light fruity notes, but with age this has dissipated a bit. Light citrus notes, with some floral finish.

can - Hazy gold pour with a lingering off-white head. It has a hop led aroma that's very fruity with citrus and tropical notes. The flavor is similar, a bitter, crisp, and juicy medium bodied brew. Very well done.

Can. Barely hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is not terribly strong but full of fruit - peach, mandarin, passionfruit. A little sherbety. Some sharper citrus joins the taste along with some pine and note entirely welcome herbal notes. Malt plays little role apart from sweetness. Dryish and fairly bitter at the end. A bit past it I guess.

Sample during the "Collaboration Beers On Deck 2!" event on 08/13/2017. This beer is a clear deep golden color with a thick foamy white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, floral hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of tropical fruit, herbal hops and rye malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Can from the box set. Hazy orange golden with a low, fine head. Nose is citrus, tropical fruit, lemon, orange, grapefuit. Sweet and juicy flavor, full body, malty biscuits, and a lightly bitter, prickly finish. Good stuff.
