Leo, Teo e Sam sono andati alla ricerca dell’origine della birra, ricreando un’audace ricetta ispirata alle antiche bevande fermentate. Usando ingredienti comuni sulla base dei ritrovamenti archeologici ogni birrificio ha scelto un metodo di fermentazione diverso. A Borgorose, l’Etrusca, l’abbiamo fatta riposare in grandi anfore di terracotta, come quelle ritrovate negli antichi siti etruschi

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2016, Day 1. Hazy yellow color, small to average sized white head. Smell and taste both have a tartness, weird plant-like touch to it which I dislike. Weird stuff, reminds me of flowers on the one hand and sweet potatoes on the other hand. Meh, don’t like it. Weird.

Bottle at the RateBeer Best Festival 2016. Pours clear orange-gold with a foamy, white head. The beer has a tangy citrus character, pale bread, some tangerine. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sugary finish, with bready malts present, more citrus, simple dough. Not bad overall.

Bottled 330ml. -at Craft Beer Festival Zagreb. Clear golden coloured, small white to off-white head, mild spicy nose. Moderate malty, spicy, quite earthy, some fruits and interesting peppery notes in the finish. Also alcohol well hidden. Interesting brew.

Now this is unique. Thrilled to have tried it at the Craft Beer Festival in Zagreb. Golden body with a small white head. Sourish dry, earthy aroma, plums and some spice. Lean taste, solid carbonation, meaty notes, slightly stale maltiness for a moment, but mostly strange fruity notes, vague plums, earthiness, tartness from the pomegranate and an interesting spicy/mostly peppery note. Interesting stuff, well crafted for the sheer strangeness of it.
