Tap at Ichiya. Malty again. Almost British. Bitterness is pleasant and not overpowering. Touch of booze further down. Pine, touch of resin, but quite timid.

Draft at Beer Pub Ichi Ya, Kyoto. Fairly hazy golden orange with a white head. Aroma of citrus, fruity hops and tropical fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at Tadg’s. A deep orange color with a light beige head and a sweet fruity orange, pepper and malt aroma. This shows how much Ichijoji brewing is improving lately. Medium bodied with a sweet citrus, pepper and bready malt character. It’s a solid and balanced IPA that isn’t pushing boundaries but is cleanly made and tasty. Well done and looking forward to Ichi-ya opening.
I just re-read KL’s review and a bright gold became an opaque orange so looking like this is still a work in progress.

Tap at Tadgs. Deep amber, cloudy. Nice hoppy nose, lemon, bit of cat, herbs, biscuity malt. Great citrus and stone fruit flavors, rich biscuity malt, clean finish. Seems that Ichijoji has entered into a new era in brewing.
