330ml bottle. Pours a slightly unclear gold, thin ring of white froth atop. Aroma of light citrus, wheat. Taste is crisp with a soft wheat malt presence pairing nicely with a settled citrussy character, perhaps a light orange wine gum hint coming into view. Nice sipper.

Draft at Spring Valley Brewing, Kyoto. Clear golden with an off white head. Aroma of lemon, citrus and a touch of yeast. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation.

Brewed at Kirin's Shiga Factory and drunk in a tasting set at SVB Kyoto, On the cloud 5.5% 23 IBU A wheat beer but too clear to be a Weizen as it is a pale straw gold. Lemon candy hop aroma which I guess is from the Nelson Sauvin the menu mentions. Tangy line/lemon, light bodied and dry with a crisp finish. This is a bit too gassy but close to what the Pilsner should have been.

Hazy yellow, hazy and not very foamy. Looking like a normal wit bier would look like. Nose quite subtle, maybe a bit of Belgian yeast there, not much. Taste is slightly spicy, some sweetness and yeast character. Quite drinkable and well, can’t really complain, as a drinkable wheat, this one works nicely. Interesting pairing with an olive, some bitterness from olive goes together with bitter elements from that beer.

Tap at the Daikanyama brew pub. Pale gold, cloudy. nice Nelson Sauvin nose, grapefruit, biscuits. A bit too sweet, but very nice hop flavors and rather well balanced. Oily, spritzy body. Best of the day.
