Fire in the Ham is our take on an intensely smokey lager similar to those found in Bamberg, Germany. Most of this brew's malt was dried over flaming beechwood, which ingrains unique smoky flavors. Aromas of campfires, smoked ham, and bacon dominate a soft malt and hop backbone.

Classic JA I’d never had prior. Bought a 4 pack home. Cloudy amber and smallish foamy head. Nose is smoky and cherry wood. Tastes of ham, wood smoke, fruit, malt, tobacco. Thinner bodied

Can pour into taster cup at One Stop Market 30th Anniversary. Appearance is pale yellow (urine-like) with effervescent sparkle, mild head and lacing. Aroma is mainly smoky, with mild yeast, and is that a fruity ester quality? Taste is smoke dominant, on top of fruit(?). Not really sure if that’s it or not, but it’s not really working. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, average carbonation, and smoky, dry lightly bitter and tart finish. Overall, this is very smoke dominant and it either drowns out, or just doesn’t quit work for me with the rest of it. Things seem to be conflicting. For me, a rare miss for this brewer.

Bought this in Denver. Bottle. Hazy and pale. The aroma is a bit smoky with a bit of sweet pale malt.

Tasting at Josh’s
Blond color, clean. Delicate smoke, a veil of cereally and crackery malts, and chestnut flour; low bitterness.
Pleasant, but without bite.

Bottle - Light smoke and bacony notes with some fruity notes. Clear gold with a decent white white head. Fruity, smoky and a long odd sweet finish.

Lots of smoke and definitely has the vibe of smoked ham. Hazy golden pour with decent head. Light sweet finish with bitter burnt note. Tap at brewpub.

Not my thing apparently. Smells and tastes like smoked gouda, and like smoked gouda, is good at first, but not for very long.
