Can. Aroma has the sheequarsar (however you want to spell it), sweets, seems a bit artificial or maybe even plastic like. Taste is nice enough, lots of citrus, definitely like a soft drink, little bit of a burpy feeling even though it's not that fizzy. Finish is more fruity and maybe shows something more beer-like. Coats the teeth a bit.

Tasting at Matt’s, can
Hazy blond color, small head. Dry and weak beer, with light bread flavor, and a weird citrus fruit (lime and tropical) more evident in aroma than flavor. Astringent and dry in the final.
Clumsy but a bit refreshing.

Can, pours a cloudy dirty blonde with a medium white head. Aroma is very floral, with weird fruity floral notes dominating, along with coriander and wheaty notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of citrusy weirdness, some heavy floral notes (probably from the fruit as well) and a little spiciness. Odd, but not too bad.

Can. Slight haze, light colour. Not much head. Aroma mixes some stank yeast, and also the nectarish bright fruit. Sweet, with a light fruity character, maybe some fruity acidity, too. Odd character, not sure how much is attributable to the fruit and how much attributable to the base beer. I won’t say it’s bad, but it’s definitely odd.

(can) clear pale yellow colour with a tall white head; vigorous carbonation; aroma starts with sourness and rubber, then ginger ale, lime; balanced flavour with a medium long, light sour finish

Pours slightly hazy, yellow-pale. Not much of a head and what it has, doesn’t stay for long. Aroma is funny - bubblegum, some funky citrus, lemon tart. Feels more like some kind of fruit-beer cocktail, not really like a beer. Taste goes down in the same vein, artificial citrus fruit, perfumy and not really good. I usually like when brewers are using local ingredients but well, the beer has to taste good also. This time it doesn’t.

Can from Daiei. Drank straight form the can. Nice shikwasa nose with some metallic and bread-like notes present. Taste is like sugar syrup in a chuhai. The flavors separate into something not good. Metal, plastic, corn syrup and sweet citrus all present. Body is ultra thin and sugary with a slightly chalky mouthfeel. No body to speak of. --- Beer merged from original tick of Sheequarsar White Ale on 15 May 2015 at 20:14 - Score: 4

Can from Le Collier. Citrus and wheat nose, not as sour as lemon. Bread, sugar. Ok nose, but I see that this has a lot of adjuncts, and it comes through. Sweet and fruity, citrus, bread, and again something quite candy-like. Rather full, creamy body. Fruit flavors are decent, but they need to take the malt bill more seriously. They are getting away with the lowest Happoshu category tax on this, and we are paying beer prices, so it makes good profit, but they are cheating on the malt. No wheat used, it seems. A nice idea, could be much better.

Can, a slightly cloudy pour with a thick fluffy eggshell white head, the nose is fruity mostly some kind of citrus/orange type aroma. The body is smooth and quite full, the taste is decent more fruity than weizen like, a good wheat profile, no hops really and mostly classic orange sheequarser fruit notes. Ok.

On tap at Okinawa fest in Yoyogi park. Hazy light yellow color. The nose is fairly tart with pungent Shiquasa notes. The mouth is light, tart and highly refreshing. On the verge of tasting like a soda pop, though not too sweet. Great summer beer.
