I’ve had this for years but never reviewed until tonight. Doesn’t quit have the soft body feel nor the deep roastiness it used to have but the coffee character is still absurdly good and now a lot more dark fruit and not quit as dry as before. Still the roastiness is there, the relative nice mouthfeel is there, it’s like from 4.0 to 3.85 if that is possible. I love the extra dark fruit now. Still one of the best stouts in japan

Tap at Thrash Zone. Roasty, cola, good stuff. Little bit sweet, light spice. Nice. Best beer on here tonight. Had drunk a few at this stage.

Black with a tan head. Lightly roasted malts, some coffee, molasses, burnt malt, chocolate. Full bodied. Sweet but not overly so. Finish has a bite. Good brew.

Dark brown. Nice molasses, slightly burnt/roast nose. Molasses and a touch of chocolate.. Good, very drinkable stout.

Tap at TZ. Huge chocolate fudge brownie nose with dry bakers chocolate and cacao on the palate. Feels light-bodied for the abv. Easy drinking with a nice hoppy bitter finish with a touch of roasted coffee. Small glass on draft at Thrash Zone. Black with light tan head. Aromas of licorice, chocolate, roast, light caramel, floral notes. Tastes of floral hops, licorice, dark chocolate, burnt roast, coffee. Medium body with a dry finish. Not big into hoppy stouts but this was solid.

Tap at Thrash. Lovely, shiny black with a fine head. Nose of coffee, orange, chocolate, roasty and hoppy. Orange citrus hop flavors blend with roasty coffee and dark chocolate. Finish is sharp, hoppy, bitter. Intense flavors. Nice hoppy sout. Solid body. Very well done.

7.6% on tap at trash zone.pitch black pour with a beige filmy head. The aroma is hoppy chocolate, the flavor is full bodied. Hoppy, dark malts sweet & roasted chocolate. Smooth, tasty, roasty coffee burnt taste.
