Can from Yutaka, London. It pours hazy deep amber, approaching brown with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is sweet, sappy, oily, toffee, brown bread, candied peel, orange marmalade, fruit cake, cinnamon bun and damp leaf. The taste is initially dry, bitter - sweet, sappy, oily, pine, resin, brown bread, malt loaf, toffee, candied orange, grapefruit and a touch of spice with a sticky finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Quite a malt - driven old school west number. Fair.

(Can) Pours clear amber with white head. Aroma is grain with fruity and pepper notes and rather odd rubbery hints. Medium body with lively carbonation. Taste is a bit odd. There’s plenty of peppery bitterness and some plum notes. Not great.

Can from one of my students. Thanks Nanae! Golden coloured with off-white head that goes quite quickly. Aroma is lightly sweet caramel maltiness, bit herbal and a touch of citrus hops. Taste is more caramel and a bit of toffee too. Honey in the sweetness. Not much bitterness. Pretty drinkable though. Would be a good thirst quencher and if I was given this at a picnic rather than a super dry I would be pretty satisfied.
