w zapachu słody palone, karmel i lekkie śliwki. ciemnobrązowe, przejrzyste z kiepską pianą. w smaku lekka paloność i popiół, średnia goryczka, półpełne. przyzwoite ale nic specjalnego.

A can from Seijo Ishii for 240 yen. It had a decent malt aroma. I wasn’t expecting much from a macrobrew but the taste was a nice balance of caramel, chocolate and some roastiness. A good bet for someone looking for a dark beer from a convenience store.

Can. Chocolate, lightly roasted nose, caramel, a bit of raisin, cherry, Reasonably nice malt nose. Very black, with some orange-amber tints on the edge, and a nice tan head. Roasted malt and chocolate flavor, some coffee, wood. Not too sweet, and a roasty finish. Pretty decent body too—medium. Light but full. I should have this side-by-side with the regular black to tell the difference, but on first try, it does seem to be less sweet and to have a more roasted character, like the first version of Black that was around in 2006. It doesn’t really have all that much flavor, though, and can’t compare with the draught version when it’s fresh.
