Hi.P.A. is a medium-bodied groove with a fresh and fruitful nose of tympanic temptation. It begins and ends with a big hop bite that is itself forever balanced on the brink by a steady rhythm of malt. Dry-hopped for extra quenching in the face of heat and beat, it’s an ideal accompaniment to chilling out, turning inward or sailing onward through the music of the night toward the dawn of the mind. It’s the liquid way to say be here now lest you never come this way again.

Bottle. Orangy IPA with nice head. Aroma is hoppy, sweet as well. Lighter citrus flavor than many of the IPAs I’ve had, but it was very well balanced.

Golden color. Both aroma and taste have a nice hopping, with some resins, but the malt is very low. Enjoyable, easy to drink.

Bottle courtesy of Hogtownharry: Poured a medium beige slightly hazy color ale with a small foamy head with average retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus hops is not as dominating as expected with some subtle caramel malt also noticeable. Taste is also a nice enough mix between some light caramel malt and some piny hops. Body is average with some low carbonation. I guess this one is OK overall but it is not something that I would necessarily seek again.

Bottle. Pours a peachy gold with a huge frothy head. Fruity & hoppy nose- very nice. Deep hoppy flavor... loaded with bittersweet hops. Wow... a Magic Hat beer that’s actually good!

Pours a hazy golden amber. Head quickly dissipates with nice lacing. Heavy bubblegum aroma...heavy bubblegum flavor. This is definitely a Magic Hat concoction...fruity. Light, sticky palate with an medium astringent finish.

A pour of cloudy orange with a dirty ivory head that reduced itself to small bubbles condensed around the rim. Strong nose of sweet citrus and fruits, tangerine mainly with hints of tropical fruits. Seemed a combination of citrus and pine hops with a substantial malt body. The flavor was sweet malts, hints of caramel, with bittering and citrusy hops from beginning to end and after. Thin to medium body with slight syrupy mouthfeel in the aftertaste. This is not your standard Cascade style IPA.

Hello Pennsylvania! On draught at Parrish Cafe, 3/31/05. Soft, honey and copper-toned orange body with a large and lasting light beige head. Mostly clear, though some chill haze to start. Smells of floral notes, light citrus (orange zest, sweet lemons, limes), a bit of honey. Colombus hops are pretty hard to go wrong with for an IPA, it seems. I’m not getting much marris otter out of the nose. Flavor begins muted and easygoing, with a lightly dry bitterness from the hops softly asserting itself throughout the entire experience. Some slight caramel and toffee, or maybe I’m just imagining that. Anyways, a good enough body to keep it drinkable without being too watery. A bit of dry, paperiness on the end, with a little prickliness from the alcohol and malt earthiness. But it’s mainly just a fluffy, lightly sweet, modestly hopped ale, that passes from memory quite easily. . .

[draught] Anyone that has tried a number of Magic Hat beers is all too familiar with that "Magic Hat taste" - I’m not quite sure what it is (maybe it’s hemp or some crap), but it’s there, and sometimes it works, and other times it doesn’t - well this beer tastes like nothing BUT that "Magic Hat taste" - I can’t understand it, there are no other flavors detectable, besides a moderate amount of hops - it really is the damnedest thing.

GA 14% gathering. The pour produced a clear yellow beer that supported an average sized white head. The aroma was an even balance of light hops and malt. The flavor was balanced as well, but lacked the degree of assertiveness that I like in an IPA. Clean light bitterness towards the finish. I’ve got another one to try at a later time, but I was a little disappointed in this one as the Blind Faith IPA they brew is a winner.
