Hi.P.A. is a medium-bodied groove with a fresh and fruitful nose of tympanic temptation. It begins and ends with a big hop bite that is itself forever balanced on the brink by a steady rhythm of malt. Dry-hopped for extra quenching in the face of heat and beat, it’s an ideal accompaniment to chilling out, turning inward or sailing onward through the music of the night toward the dawn of the mind. It’s the liquid way to say be here now lest you never come this way again.

Pour is a hazy orange with a large with head. Aroma is some slight citrus rind hops and not much else. Flavor is some slight hops no real malts but leaves a ok piney hop on the tounge after the swallow. Like most of this brewers beers, it’s just ok but kind of half assed.

Catch up rating from notes, 2012: From sampler pack.Pours out very normal, medium golden, foamy head subsides rather quickly. Mild hoppy aroma, piney, floral. Taste is fruity, tropical notes, citrus, hop bitterness comes in at the back. Seems a bit thin overall.

Hay, whole orange, and grapefruit peel, with lilly accents. A little stale, but quite nice. Cloudy amber, thin head, fine floaties, some lacing. Slightly vegetal floral flavor, lillies with the green stems. Rosehips also present. Fizzy. Dry and bitter, but not necessarily resinous. Decent.

Pours hazy amber with a respectable head and modest lacing. Some citric hops on the nose, but muted, with a grainy malt background. Citrus hops pop up first in the flavor, but quickly disappear into a strangely salted-butter malt morass. Kinda like Texas Toast, honestly. Smooth and quaffable, but not a great IPA by any means. Bottle from Oak Tree. Pours a light orange/amber/gold with a slight creamy white head. Huge citrus/floral aroma backed by a soupçon of light caramel. Med + body. Crispy carbonation. Flavor is fruity/floral hop over some mild caramel. Damn near perfumey. Hoppy as heck. Mellow floral bitter ending. Brilliant.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy yellow with a medium creamy white head that lasts awhile leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a sweet hop and grapefruit. Thin mouthfeel with a light dry hop with floral and citrus and a nice dry finish. A good IPA from Magic Hat.

Appearance: Slightly hazy yellow/gold with a nice white head and some lacing left in the glass
Aroma: Pine and grapefruit
Taste: Pine resin
Decent IPA. Hoppy in both aroma and taste but not over the top, nice.
