Black color. The aroma has some chocolate and light roasted malt. More roastiness in the flavor, and some coffee, more than chocolate. Dry finish.

Tap at Laurelwood on Sandy, PDX, 25/05/13. Extremely dark mahogony brown bordering light black with a thin tan head. Nose is light roast, touch of chocolate, dark toffee. Taste comprises roast malt, chocolate, molasses, tar. Medium bodied, a little watery, light roast in the finish. A drinkable porter but nothing Iβd rush back to. The mustard made with this beer that I purchased at the brewpub is superior!

On draught at Portland City Grill. Pours dark brown with a medium tan head that dissipates steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Chocolate malt, roasted barley and coffee in the nose. Medium body with a roasted character of coffee and malt, along with chocolate and some hops. The finish is bittersweet chocolate with a coffee aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
