THE Fruit Sour tasting. One of those rare beers that were barrel aged on barrels previously used hold beer! Cloudy brown beer, little pale tan head. Palate is light, airy and semi dry. Smooth bourbon in a crisp vinegary dark fruit backdrop. A little acid. Not too much. Semi dry finish. All right.

Bottle at The Fruit Sour Tasting, London - many thanks to Ken. Pours muddy brown with a light, filmy head. Berry aroma with salted meat. Medium sweet flavor, some dark berries, light meat, light earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth to finish with jammy berries and good, sturdy tartness. Nice beer.

Bottle thanks to Ken at THE fruit sour tasting. It pours deep mahogany brown with a thin beige head. The nose is wood, oak, vanilla, meat and toasted coconut. The taste is up-front sourness, lemon, grapefruit, vanilla, light banana, lacto, over-ripe plum, prune, fairly acidic, faint wood, bourbon and earth with a tangy wood finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good balance. Interesting stuff.

Bottle number 138 thanks to GRG1313. Pours with a hazed bronze body with a tan head. Aromas are spicy, woody, mild funk, vanillin, plums and dark fruits. Flavors are spicy, fruity, currant, and plums. Quite tannic. Also a slight raspberry note. Lively bubbles, dry and peppery.

On tap at HopCat. Murky prune-brown body, thin ring of off-white carbonation. Fruity, leathery sweet and sour nose with notes of plum, oak, and bourbon. Heavy. Sour, tannic body, funky and woody with notes of oak, bourbon, plum and plum skin. Leathery and juicy. Complex, warming, and a tad rough with a syrupy sweet finish. Very nice.
